How to Get a Big Wide Muscular Back

Of course most bodybuilders want to build a thick back but I thought I would write an article on how to get a big wide muscular back without mentioning the usual thickness exercises like deadlifts and bent over rows. To get a big wide muscular back you need to concentrate of a number of different movements that specifically target the upper and outer latimus dorsi commonly called the lats. Back training along with leg training is probably the highest intensity and physically demanding of all the necessary workouts for each particular muscle group. The good news is that there are quite a lot of different back exercises to choose from so you can have a slightly different back workout each week and avoid getting bored with the same routines.

Build Big Thick Biceps with Back Training

Although using regular bicep exercises like barbell curls and dumbbell curls will definitely lead to big arm development, you can also build big thick biceps with back training. It is no secret that heavy back training leads to big biceps since you use your biceps significantly every time you perform any number of different back exercises. If you only train each body part once per week like I do remember you are hitting your biceps a second time every time you train your back.

Grow a Thick Muscular Back with Deadlifts

If you want to grow a thick muscular back in the shortest time possible you need to concentrate on back thickness exercises like deadlifts. Many weight trainers and bodybuilders neglect to train their back as hard as they train their other bodyparts and as a result their whole body suffers. When you train your back with heavy weights you stimulate testosterone production in a way you never could by training only smaller bodyparts like arms. Back training with heavy weights will not only allow you to grow a thick muscular back but will also allow you to thicken other bodyparts like your shoulders and arms.
